RCPS Needs Volunteer Peer Support Providers to help support those in our community.
We currently have limited peer counseling services available by appointment only. Our peer counseling services are currently being offered via telehealth by phone or video call. If you would like to receive peer counseling services, please fill out our client intake form and a staff member will reach out to you to schedule an appointment.
All of our volunteer peer counselors are trained in peer mental health support and here to work with you in your mental health wellness and recovery.
Peer counseling sessions last for approximately 50 minutes.
Our peer counseling services are free of charge and available to all residents of Riverside County.
Your mind and your voice matters. You deserve to be heard and validated!
One of our goals in alignment with our mission and values is being able to provide 24/7 support for our clients.

At this time, we do not have the resources to provide this as it will require a significant effort to achieve, as we will need a sustainable team of peer support counselors and an operating budget so we can utilise a phone system and online platform to provide these services.
In the meantime, there are crisis lines and support lines that offer services. If you need immediate support, you can reach out for help here.
Why is having a local peer support and crisis hotline and chatline important and needed:
While other support and crisis lines exist, the number of counselors available at these resources cannot support every caller or chatter immediately when support is needed or required
It will help unburden the load of other support and crisis lines
Having a local (riverside county) support and crisis hotline/chatline will give our clients/callers/chatters the opportunity to speak with counselors who are familiar with the area that we live in and have more intimate knowledge with our area's local resources and services.
